Would be ok to enter my thoroughbred into a working hunter class?

How would I have to turn him out? And what is it judged on?Will I have to gallop in a "green working hunter" class? Also would it be ok for me to wear my black jacket and stock as I will be showjumping in a class just before this one- it is only a local unaffiliated show??? Thanks for any answers.
